Sparton Technology Corporation - Since 1972

 

History

We began as a two man experimental R&D machine shop in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1972, by Victor Breton and Harry Spiers. Sparton has grown and evolved greatly over the years, moving into larger spaces several times in Lowell Ma. We saw the need for automation early on and started purchasing CNC machining centers in the 1980’s. We also started offering full Sheet Metal capabilities in 1984. Sparton’s machine shop transitioned into a production shop and in the 1990’s we were purchasing many two pallet vertical CNC’s. We moved into a 36,000 square foot building in Hudson, New Hampshire in 1992, just after the retirement and buyout of Mr. Spiers. We purchased several CNC Horizontals in the 1990’s furthering our ability to handle higher production and “lights out manufacturing.”

Our last move was in 2010 and Sparton Technology Corporation now operates in 80,000 square feet in Hudson. The previous ten years have bolstered Sparton’s capabilities with 5-axis milling, Laser cutting, and robotic welding and AS9100 certification.

 

Our Team and Employees

Our founder and CEO, Victor Breton has led us from one machine in his garage into an 80,000 sq. ft. facility. Victor is still an active leader of Sparton providing leadership, knowledge, and guidance to his management team and continues to be one of our knowledgeable estimators. Our machine shop is led by Steve Breton, VP of Machining, and is the lead estimator and POC to many of our customers. Our Sheet Metal shop is led by Scott Breton, VP of Metal Fabrication, and is our Lead Mechanical Engineer as well as POC to many of our customers.

Our company is staffed with some of the best, most highly skilled employees that we could ask for. We are proud of the fact that many of our employees have been here for 30+ years.
